The first blanket is ready
This wool was great to work with. As the blanket was growing you could feel the texture of the fabric adapting easily to the patterns without loosing it's softness. I used the Sirdar Supersoft Aran yarn that I found on sale in the beautiful Pandora Crafts shop in Guildford. Can't wait to return there!

The first blanket 2.1
With two babies and two blankets on the way Mrs Crafting has to stitch square. The best way to do that is to go granny style. Now she just has to keep up with the stats.

The first blanket
Two of my friends decided that 2012 is the right year to welcome their first kid.
As soon as she heard the news, Mrs Crafting parked the bike in the garage and started to stitch up some cute blankets with shell patterns. There is something cozy about shells. They’re just right for babies.
